Horizontal server / equipment support rails are designed to replace a variety of server rails including OEM rails for Dell, HP, IBM, and Apple servers. They can also be used to mount a variety of other equipment such as computers, KVM switches, medical equipment, UPS backup systems, data backup systems, and custom made equipment. *To mount devices with smaller width onto a flat or vented surface, use server rack shelves. Horizontal equipment rails are typically compatible with any standard 19"EIA rack that supports the minimum mounting depth of the rail kit. Some models also feature native compatibility with 23"EIA and 30"EIA server racks. Equipment rails come in two different types:

Most Vertical Server Rack Rails are proprietary, and exclusive to a series of racks or an individual rack. There aren't many universally compatible vertical rails available, however a lot of rack rails can be 'gerry rigged' to fit non-compatible racks with custom drilled holes - please only attempt this with a professional or at your own discretion.
